Your services are greatly needed! Take the
initiative and start volunteering where you can make a difference in
your community!
The Step Up Volunteer Program is a Livingston
County Red Cross Youth-Based Volunteer Initiative that stands for
Students ogether
Engaging in
Preparedness

We have many Volunteer Opportunities including
(but not limited to) the following:

Serve as a Disaster Action Team member
-
Staff Red Cross Information booths at Community Events
-
Organize fundraising events
-
Teach your peers
-
Teach First-Aid to children
-
Health & Safety Instructors and/or Aides
-
Work on prevention projects
-
Work at blood drives
-
Develop marketing materials, such as brochures,
flyers, newsletters, etc.
-
Provide office assistance
-
Plan special events
-
Write articles for the Chapter newsletter
-
Recruit and schedule youth volunteers
-
Train new volunteers
-
Put together comfort kits, information packets, etc.
for our clientele
-
And so much more!
The volunteer opportunities are endless. If
you have a special interest or skill and you do not see it listed
above as a way you would like to contribute, please inform us of
your specific interests because the above list is not all-inclusive
of the opportunities available. For instance, if you are great at
photography or scrap-booking, let us know, we would love to have
someone take pictures at our events and/or put a scrapbook together!

HOW CAN YOU CONTRIBUTE?
We are looking for students to donate their
valuable time to us. There is no required hourly commitment. If
you can only contribute one hour or many hours, we would appreciate
any and all time donated to us!
HOW CAN YOU BENEFIT?
We are offering “free” opportunities for you to learn and/or be
trained in disaster services, emergency safety, fundraising, health
and safety, blood services, planning events, international services,
CPR and First Aid or develop your skills in leadership, technology,
marketing, writing, communications, public speaking, etc.
Your new skills will help you open doors to
your future, as well as look great on your resume!
