Descriptions and Prerequisites
Standard First Aid with CPR Adult, Child and
Infant $60 / 9 hours
This course offers first time CPR and First Aid
training. CPR teaches participants what to do when
an adult, child or infant experiences a breathing or
cardiac emergency. First Aid teaches participants
how to respond to various emergencies, including
sudden illness, poisoning, bleeding and fractures.
Meets requirements to become a teacher in Michigan
and home daycare providers.
Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course. Please
be advised that the material is written at a seventh
grade reading level and in order to do chest
compressions to the required depth of 2 inches
participants should weigh at least 85 lbs.
Standard
First Aid with CPR Adult, Child and Infant
Review $45 / 4 hours
Review courses are designed for individuals who need
to renew their certification in First Aid and CPR.
If you need an instructor driven review and practice
before testing, this course is for you.

Certificate is no more than 12 months expired.

Standard
First Aid with CPR Adult, Child and Infant
Challenge $40 / 2 hours
Challenge courses are for participants who are
extremely confident they can pass a written test and
demonstration without instructor assistance.

CPR/AED
for the Professional Rescuer $65 / 9 hours
(Plus a pocket mask at $14.05 if needed)
To teach those with a duty to act (professional
rescuers) the skills needed to respond appropriately
to breathing and cardiac emergencies. CPR/AED for
the Professional Rescuer Course is based on
real-life rescue scenarios and combines discussions
and video with hands-on kills training to promote
effective learning and to keep students motivated.
The American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional
Rescuer has been updated with the latest science on
CPR and emergency cardiovascular care (ECC). This
class includes responding to breathing and cardiac
emergencies in adults, children, and infants, use of
an automated external defibrillator (AED) to care
for an adult and child victim of cardiac arrest and
more.

/ 2 hours

Bloodborne Pathogens Training: Preventing Disease
Transmission $25 / 2 hours
Addresses how diseases are transmitted and how to
minimize chances of exposure.
Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course. Please
be advised that the material is written at a seventh
grade reading level.
Babysitter’s
Training $50 / 9 hours
This training will help participants develop skills
in five critical areas: Leadership, First Aid,
Basic Care, Professionalism, and Safety and Safe
Play.
Prerequisites

Must be 11 years of age or older
Dog First Aid $35 / 3 hours
Teaches
how to perform CPR and First Aid, treat common
problems and emergencies requiring immediate
attention, stock a pet first aid kit, and
emergency preparedness.

Cat First Aid $35 / 3 hours
Teaches how to perform CPR and First
Aid, treat common problems and emergencies requiring
immediate attention, stock a pet first aid kit, and
emergency preparedness.

Lay Responder First Aid CPR/AED Instructor $200 /
24 hours
Prepares instructor candidates to teach First Aid
and CPR skills. Instructor candidates learn basic
Red Cross teaching and presentation techniques as
well as Red Cross history.
Prerequisites
·
Must be at least 17 years of age.
·
Participants must demonstrate competency in all
first aid and CPR skills and hold current
certification in Standard Fist Aid with CPR / AED
Adult and Child plus Infant CPR.
CPR/
AED for the Professional Rescuer Instructor $200 /
24 hours
Prepares instructor candidates to teach CPR-PR/AED
to the community. Instructor candidates learn basic
Red Cross teaching and presentation techniques as
well as Reds cross history.
Prerequisites
·
Must be at least 17 years of age.
·
Participants must demonstrate competency CPR – PR/AED
skills and hold current certification in CPR/AED for
the Professional Rescuer.
